Insectarium Tour [Click for Available Dates/Times]

Tour Idlewild Butterfly Farm’s Insectarium! Each ticket accommodates ONE PERSON age 3+ (ages 2 and under free with adult) for the selected date and time. All tickets must be purchased in advance via the website.

This 45-60 minute tour takes you behind the scenes of a Idlewild Butterfly Farm where butterflies are raised, and our Insectarium, a USDA Containment Facility with a variety of interesting insects both exotic and local. Guided by our Entomology staff you will get an up close experience with lots of cool bugs and learn all about their interesting life cycles and features. Please note that butterflies and caterpillars are not in season September-April.

Maximum occupancy for tours is 10 people. Contact us directly if you have a larger group to reserve a private tour.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your tour time to check in. We will start promptly on the hour. No refunds for missed attendance or late arrival.

You will not receive a reminder for the tour date and time, please mark your calendar at the time you purchase your tickets.

Tour dates and times are subject to seasonal demands of our butterfly rearing operations. The only dates available for tours are what is currently listed and will be updated regularly. Thanks for understanding the seasonal fluctuations of our business!
