Join us for this 2 hour guided sketch session at Idlewild Butterfly Farm! Participating artists will draw from observation of Idlewild's impressive collection of live exotic insects.
We will do a few warm-up drawings and then three different longer poses. Learn how insect anatomy can inform your art, and other technical tips and tricks for your insect art.
This session is intended for adults and older children. Some drawing experience is helpful but not required. All materials are provided but participants are welcome to bring any dry materials they are comfortable working with.
Damon Thompson who is best known for his prolific Louisville mural project that began during the pandemic, will be leading this class.
